This fine old timber-framed coaching inn reopened in spring 2025 after a period of closure. It prides itself on being a cornerstone of the community with a warm and inviting atmosphere where friends and family can gather and relax. Hearty, traditional pub food is served and makes the perfect accompaniment to the regular beer Salopian Lemon Dream. This is a long and fairly narrow pub with a single bar and a varied range of seating and dining areas, including a beer garden. Live music on Saturdays and upstairs is a function room that also caters for darts and pool enthusiasts. The Spread Eagle philosophy is that people should be able to go out for a drink or a meal without breaking the bank.
