Breweries in the County

Corn Ales

Established in 2022 in the Corn Exchange bar in the yard of the Kings Head Hotel in Ross-on-Wye. Brewing plant is visible in a section of the bar, providing cask beer to the Corn Exchange bar and the Hotel bar.

Golden Wake Brewery

Opened in 2024, sharing space with the distillery at the Golden Wake Tap Room, Hereford.

Ledbury Real Ales

Ant and Kate Stevens set up a one-barrel plant in their garage in spring 2012, launching their beers on to the local market in the autumn. Having established a market in a number of local pubs, they then installed a six-barrel plant, which was very soon operating at full capacity.

Lucky Seven Beer Co

Moved to just inside the Herefordshire border near Hay-on-Wye. Most production is in cans.

Motley Hog

Initially based at the Tap House, Ross-on-Wye. In 2022 relocated brewing to Townsend Farm, Brampton Abbots, brewing a range of cask ales.

Overbite Brewhouse

Have relocated to 11 Bastion Mews, Hereford, where they have a tap room.

Simpsons Fine Ales

Brew exclusively for the White Swan Pub at Eardisland.

Weobley

Based at Jules Restaurant in Weobley, produce a range of bottled and beers.

Wobbly

Brewery, Tap Room and shop at the Beech Business Park, Tillington Road, Hereford. Produce cask beers and craft cans. Regular events at the Tap Room. In 2023 took over The Secret Garden pub near Munstone, north of Hereford.

Woofy's

Established in 2022 on an old dairy on a farm near Strangford, Ross-on-Wye. A core range of bottle conditioned beers, lagers and stouts. Cask conditioned beers are planned.

Wye Valley Brewery

Largest brewery in the county, started in Canon Pyon in 1985, and after several relocations now brew at Stoke Lacy. They have consistently upgraded their capacity at their Stoke Lacy site. Supply cask and bottled beers to a wide variety of pubs, and have a small estate of pubs. A new canning and bottling line was added in 2023.
