Sixteenth century black and white inn that has been opened out internally and extensively modernised, but still retains fine original timbers and a flagstone floor. The single, large bar contrasts with a number of more intimate nooks and crannies. The guest beer is usually from a local brewery. It enjoys a loyal following for its excellent and affordable food (served daily), with traditional roasts on Sundays. Letting rooms are in the newly-converted coach house.
